Mahindra has been officially launched the XUV 7XO, it rebranded and significantly upgraded of the highly popular XUV700.while the XUV700 set the benchmark for performance and technology upon its debut,the new XUV 7XO adopts Mahindra’s latest naming conventions.
Mahindra XUV700 launched in 2021, widely praised for its strong engine options, spacious cabin, advanced safety and ADAS tech.
Mahindra 7XO the 2026 facelift successor with refreshed styling and significant interior and tech upgrades, yet expected to retain many mechanical elements from the XUV700.
Engine & performance:
- Both XUV 7XO and XUV 700 use similar petrol and diesel engine around 2.0L petrol(200 ps power ,380 Nm Torque)and 2.2L diesel(185 ps power ,420 Nm Torque), with power outputs in the 180-200 bhp range depending on variant.
- Transmission choices on both include 6-speed manual and automatic, with AWD offered on selected diesel variant, making them capable highway and rough-road SUVs.
- The XUV 7XO is equipped with DAVINCI suspension technology.This advanced system offers better heat dissipation and ride control than the standard FSD dampers on the XUV 700, resulting in a smoother ride over bad roads and less body roll in corners.
Safety and ADAS:
- Both SUVs offer a long safety list with 7 airbags on higher variants,ABS with EBD,ESP,HILL-HOLD assist,ISOFIX mounts and strong crash protection.
- XUV 7XO continues with Level -2 ADAS features such as adaptive cruise control,lane keep assis tand automatic emergency braking, similar in concept to XUV 7OO,but in 7XO combined with new 540 degree/360 degree camera tech and enhanced blind spot and collision avoidance aids.
Design and Exterior:
- Both SUVs are similar in footprint, with length around 4.7 m, width close to 1.9mand height around 1.75m, giving them a proper full-size SUV stance.
- In the wheels 7XO has sports new 18- inch and 19-inch diamond cut alloy wheels with an aero inspired design, distinct from the XUV 7OO multi spoke look.
- In XUV 7OO features bold suv styling with a wide stance,DRLs, projector lights and muscular body lines.while in New 7XO builds on this with sharper led headlights, redesigned DRLs and a more premium grille.

Interior and Infotainment:
- The XUV 7XO introduce a new triple 12.3 inch screen layout including instrument cluster, Infotainment,and an additional display, along with a fresh dual tone cabin and new steering wheel.
- XUV7OO had a dual screen style layout with a strong infotainment experience,but 7XO takes it further with more screens and modern UI.
- The XUV 7XO introduce 2nd Row ventilated seats, segment feature that the XUV700 lacks.it also add a “BOSS MODE” allowing the rear passenger to electrically move the front passenger seat forward for extra legroom.
- The sony 3D sound system in the XUV7OO is upgrade to HARMAN KARDON system with Dolby Atmos support in the 7XO.
